This strip is #22 in a series dating from my university days. Puck ran for three full years in the Silhouette, McMaster University’s student newspaper.

All right, let me start by formally divorcing myself from every single drawing in this comic strip. Even the first ‘title’ panel is wrong; Puck’s hands are too small. In panel one, her eyes are all wonky. In panel two, well, I don’t even know where to begin. And panel three? Dear me. What a mess.

As for the concept, this one was borrowed from real life. There really was a very sociable, very nice hotdog guy on McMaster campus. He was sort of a legend, and I wanted to include him in my strip. I made him Puck’s unofficial psychiatrist, and he made a few appearances. This one’s his first. He’s shrouded in mystery, just like the president of the university; thus, he’s always in shadow and you never see his face. This is also a tried-and-true strategy to make the drawing process much easier. Kind of a cop-out.

As you can tell probably tell from my description, I’m really not proud of this one.

@Guest: Nah. Two totally different characters entirely shrouded in shadow. Look. You see any horns? No horns!
