This strip is #74 in a series dating from my university days. Puck ran weekly for three full years in the Silhouette, McMaster University’s student newspaper.

The Phoebe date story continues. This is a real low blow for me: a cheesy joke of the worst variety – a true, unadulterated groaner. I might as well have stolen a joke from Full House or something like that. (Remember Bob Saget? Man, whatever happened to that guy?)

To tell you the truth, I don’t even know what those crazy hair machines do. And I’ve only ever seen old ladies use them, so this strip likely isn’t very accurate on a hairstyling front, but c’est la vie.

Head-things
I, a guy who has never used them before, have always assumed they were hair dryers for fancy "DON'T MOVE" hairdos(ie: beehives and such). Am I wrong?

@Frybozu: Yes, my wife confirmed that they are, indeed, hair dryers for fancy "don't move" hairdos. As such, they're seldom used in this day and age by anyone under the age of eighty.
